The Public Works Educational Conference presented the award winning documentary “This Adventure Called California”‘ which brings to light the brutality and despair of the construction underground economy happening right here in Silicon Valley. Directed and presented by Jennifer Huang, the short film depicts “Arnoldo” a young man from Mexico who comes to California to support his family. The film is also expected to be presented at the United Nations in October 2022. Our local industry brought this and many of these injustices to light through our prevailing wage compliance programs. The event held November 2022 was well attended by over 60 industry participants.
